Update

Wow, so much has happened since my last post. Spring Break was kind of a bust, I got into some drama at home and I just felt terrible. But since then things have gotten back to normal. I've been super busy with work and school and I barely have time to do much besides homework. And when I do have time, I don't want to do much. I need to get better about everything.

So my weight loss has been iffy for a while. But now that it's getting to spring time, I think it will be much easier. I hope that during the summer I'll be able to update more, but I've been into my Tumblr a lot, so who knows?

Spring Break

So, spring break. Kelsey and I drove out to New York on Friday and Saturday. Yesterday we went to the mall, saw a movie, and chilled out. I'm kind of really excited for this trip, because I think it will be really fun. But, at the same point, I miss school, and I kind of miss Lamoni. I love school so much, and it's weird not to be doing stuff for class all the time. It also doesn't help that it isn't that warm outside. Or that this place is dry. But, we'll be going to the city tomorrow and on Thursday, so that should be fun. Today we'll probably hang out some more, maybe head to the mall or IKEA. And on Wednesday, we're gonna leave it as a chill out day. I think it will be a lot of fun.

I've just been having the best time this semester, I wish it would last longer. But, at the same time, I can't wait for summer. I'm going to spend most of my summer working out, working at some sort of job, and reading. I'm really excited.

Wow!

I haven't posted in such a long time. I have been so so busy since school started up. I've been doing a lot of school work, but I've also been having a lot of fun. I've been hanging with some new kids recently and it's been interesting haha and very entertaining.

I don't really have much to write about, I kind of just wanted to update things a bit. So, all my classes are going really well. I've been doing great so far. The Tower has been super hectic, but we're really trying to revamp it and make it a more worthwhile paper. Work for Brian has also been hectic, a lot of running around to get Filmmaking kids their stuff. And I mean, then there is my growing social life haha. It's like every day of the week I do something with one person or another. It's pretty great. Even though I have been so busy, it's really awesome because I'm having a good time.

So now I have to get back to editing articles. Blerg.

Weird nights.

So yesterday was the longest day of my life. Or, it seemed like it was. At nine I woke up and drove all the way to Creston. I picked up the papers, got Taco Bell, and went back to school. Then I had to pass the papers out, or at least some of them. At 12, I had class, which was super fun. Kelsey and Melissa drew really silly drawings of me trying to get through my window. So, that was a good class time, I laughed a lot. After that Kelsey, Kaila, Christy and I went to Des Moines.

So Des Moines consisted of so much! We first went to some good will stores to get outfits for our old people birthday party. At first, I wasn't finding anything good. But then, I came across the most awesome plaid jacket! And then I found this sort of pink shirt that could go under it. They are awesomely hideous! It was so cool. So I got those and some gold earrings to go with it. After that we went to Nobby's to get white hair stuff and face wax for wrinkles. Then, we went to Olive Garden. OLIVE GARDEN! It was seriously God's food. It was so amazing. I got some cheesy rolly thing that was so good. I wasn't able to eat all of it, so I saved the rest for munchie foods for later (which was one of the best ideas of the day). Then we went to Jo-Ann's to get Christy's fabric for her show. After that, target, where I got a lot of stuff that I needed for my movie. And then, TRADER JOE'S!!!!!! I love that place. It is like my heaven. I got some really nice hummus and some pita bread. It's awesome. Oooh and Peach Beer! After that we headed home.

We got back at like 9ish. And for a bit I just hung at my apartment. But eventually, I went upstairs and started drinking Johnnie Walker whiskey and smoking. I was fuckedddd up. People came over and it was awkward and funny. They left soon after, because Kelsey, Kaila and I were just too fucked up to talk hah. Then Kia and Hannah stopped by for a while. After we hung for a while, Kaila, Christy, Kelsey and I headed over to Dylan's house for a party. Eventually we went to the Bar. Then, shit got super weird. This guy I kind of know comes up behind me, and covers my eyes. He then proceeds to talk to me for a bit, and then he says "We should fall in love." Uhhhh...what? I politely declined, and we kind of joked back and forth about why we should or shouldn't fall in love. Then he walked away. It was so random. The night continued, I got to talk to a lot of new people, it was awesome. Had a few more encounters with that dude, but whatever. Then we went back to Dylan's for a while. And finally we went back to Kelsey's and watched some Alice in Wonderland. It was such a crazy long day.

It almost feels like yesterday was two days. Crazy.

Good day...ish?

So today started out as a really really awesome day. I was in a good mood, I was talking to some good people, and it was all around good. But now I have to deal with this snow. And really, I hate this snow so so so much. It was ridiculous to drive in, and pretty dangerous. I am just not excited at all to drive or go anywhere in this weather. It totally bums me out.

I just wish springtime would get here. Grrr.

First weekend.

This weekend has been perfection. Like it has pretty much been constant fun. Thursday I smoked with some freshmen dudes, then I hung with Christy at the coffee house. On Friday I smoke and drank with Kelsey and Kaila, and we went to like 3 different houses. And yesterday I got sooo fucked up. It was amazing. I can't wait until excess checks come out, I'm gonna get fucked uppp.

Winter Term

Before I start back at school, I wanted to basically bullet-point what I've done during my winter break. For the first two and a half weeks, I was back in NY. I was able to hang out with my family and relax and have my laundry done for me. For the next two and a half weeks, I was back in Iowa, doing whatever I wanted. So here are some of the things I did:

• Got new furniture!
• Reunited with my family
• Went to the city twice!
• MoMA!
• Saw the tree!
• Discovered Misfits
• Watched all of Misfits
• Worked at the deli.
• Became addicted to Tumblr
• Got to hug my mom
• Watched so so much Ally McBeal
• Read a graphic novel
• Smoked a shit ton
• Worked out
• Shoveled
• rearranged my apartment!
• Had fun with friends
• Napped...so so so much

I've had a really good break. It has been nice to just sit back and relax for a while. I will miss my bit of freedom, but I'm glad I'll be getting back into some sort of routine.
