First weekend.

This weekend has been perfection. Like it has pretty much been constant fun. Thursday I smoked with some freshmen dudes, then I hung with Christy at the coffee house. On Friday I smoke and drank with Kelsey and Kaila, and we went to like 3 different houses. And yesterday I got sooo fucked up. It was amazing. I can't wait until excess checks come out, I'm gonna get fucked uppp.

Winter Term

Before I start back at school, I wanted to basically bullet-point what I've done during my winter break. For the first two and a half weeks, I was back in NY. I was able to hang out with my family and relax and have my laundry done for me. For the next two and a half weeks, I was back in Iowa, doing whatever I wanted. So here are some of the things I did:

• Got new furniture!
• Reunited with my family
• Went to the city twice!
• MoMA!
• Saw the tree!
• Discovered Misfits
• Watched all of Misfits
• Worked at the deli.
• Became addicted to Tumblr
• Got to hug my mom
• Watched so so much Ally McBeal
• Read a graphic novel
• Smoked a shit ton
• Worked out
• Shoveled
• rearranged my apartment!
• Had fun with friends
• Napped...so so so much

I've had a really good break. It has been nice to just sit back and relax for a while. I will miss my bit of freedom, but I'm glad I'll be getting back into some sort of routine.

I've been bad! I haven't written in a while. I've been using Tumblr a lot, sorry Blog! So, a little update. Tomorrow, school starts. I'm taking seven classes, a.k.a. 21 credits. I'm really excited. I always love school. I mean, yes I will miss my lazy days full of Ally McBeal watching, napping, smoking, and some exercising. But really, I can't wait to get back to school. I love learning, and I love being around all of the people I go to school with. So my classes go as follows:

Portfolio Development on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9-10:45

Structure of English on MWF from 12-12:50

Critical Theory on MW from 2-3:15/3:50?

Design Studio on Mondays from 6-8:45

Interactive Design on TR from 9-10:45

Art History on TR from 11-12:15

Digital Filmmaking on TR from 2-3:50

So, it's kind of spread out, and a lot of classes, but I like it. I know at least 1-2 people in each of my classes, which is great. I really think it will be an amazing semester!

Trouble.

Ok, so last night, Cat told me that the deli might be foreclosed on. I mean it is a biggish 'might,' but it's still really freaking me out. Like I woke up for a pee break or whatever, but once I remembered, I just began freaking out and all I want to do is talk to mom. I don't know how this can be happening.

Really, I'm angry. I'm angry that a woman like my Mom gets punished for working her hardest, for playing by the book, by doing her best. I mean I know life is unfair, I've known it for a really long time. But it still bothers me when some one like my Mom, who is one of the hardest working people I think I'll ever know, gets the jagged edge of the stick time and time again.

Even more than I'm angry, I'm upset. I just want to be home to hug my mom and sit with her while all this stuff happens to her. I just want to be near her right now. I feel helpless. I wish I could know what to do about all of this, but I don't. I just hope that whatever happens, Mom is ok, and that she doesn't take it as a personal failure. Because she hasn't failed, she did everything she could, but the economy, and just the asshole-ness of life has screwed her over. I just hope she's ok.

Rah rah

So I'm back in Lamoni, and it's good. I've been having a few days to relax, but now I'm going to get back into gear. I woke up this morning and I worked out. It was a great work out, and I feel good about it. I'll hopefully keep it up and get back into losing.

I set up my new furniture, and to be honest, I love my apartment so much more now. It is so much more youthful and bright. Its so nice.

Spring 2011

I am so excited to start back at school. I can't even explain it, but I love school so much, and it will be awesome to get back into the groove of things. Three days until I'm back in Lamoni, and 22 until I'm back in school. Yes!
